Plans are progressing smoothly for the staging of the 2010 Carnival festivities in Antigua and Barbuda slated for 24 July to 3 Aug.
According to Carnival Coordinator Vaughn Walter, plans are shaping well for what has been dubbed the Caribbean’s greatest summer festival.
“As we speak, we are conducting several meetings with all the relevant stakeholders to determine the steps which need to be taken to ensure that we have a spectacular event; one that we can be proud of.”
Walter added that a foundation will be laid out to look at the marketing strategies and ways to promote the various segments of the summer festival.
Calypsonians, mas builders and other people desirous of participating in the event are also asked to indicate their interest at the Carnival office to facilitate the smooth flow of the registration process which will be announced at a later date.
